7 km from Loutra, Chora or Mesaria, with its intense Cycladic color and authentic island atmosphere, is the capital of Kythnos, and is amphitheatrically built on the slope of a hill. 15 km from Loutra, Dryopida stands out for its traditional houses, Spitares, a unique example of architecture in all of the Cyclades, where the roofs are made of tiles. In the settlement with a long tradition in ceramic art, you will find old churches, beautiful little squares, picturesque alleys and arches. Here are also the Byzantine Museum, the Folklore Museum, the Fallen Memorial and the Katafyki Cave.

12 km from Loutra, Merichas is the port of Kythnos and its great feature is its natural form, its picturesque beauty and its protection from the wild winds. In Merichas you will find the marina where the boats are moored, the Port, a bus and taxi stop, shops, and Martinakia beach in a small distance.

– The small church of Agioi Akindynoi, with the beautiful view towards the port
– The lighthouse, at the entrance of the port

Agios Dimitrios is a small coastal settlement, located near Panagia Kanala and built in a beautiful location with amazing beaches. It is 24 km South from Chora
